Wynonna Earp Storyverse

the ultimate interactive fan experience

Client:

Syfy Network

Agency:

Digital Howard

Roles:

Art Direction, Image Compositing, Digital Design, User Experience

The Wynonna Earp Storyverse was an interactive experience, allowing users to explore characters, artifacts and stories from season one. I designed an interface overlay, allowing the imagery and interactive media to shine through.

The project scope and requirements changed partway through, requiring a reworking of the user experience, which I took on in tandem with the visual design. I also did a lot of heavy composite work on the images to bring them to life in the aesthetic of the series.

Winner, Best Cross-Platform Project - Fiction at the Canadian Screen Awards, 2017.

Responsive from the Ground Up

We reworked the entire interface from the ground up to make the mobile experience as immersive as desktop.

ABOUT ME

Hi I'm James. I work mainly as an art director in graphic design.
If I had to say what is best about my approach, it would be the curiosity that drives me to do new things and the tenacity to make things I know how to do better. This has led me into many other aspects of creative, such as strategy, motion, illustration, front end development, key art &  music underscore composition.
As a result, I work very well with people from other related disciplines, and can function as a source of cohesion between groups.
